Welcome to the very first rambling of the brand new Butterfly Mind website! It's been a long time coming, it's taken a lot of nudging, it's taken a lot of encouragement, it's taken an enormous amount of patience on the part of my web-designer ("you changed your mind AGAIN?", "you asked me that just yesterday", "you don't really want to know how to program that, do you?"), but its finally all come together.

I hope you'll check out The Butterfly Mind on a regular basis. Check out the beautiful hikes that we tackle in Northern California. Feast your eyes on the luscious flowers in the gardens that Butterfly seems to unfurl like a magic carpet. Don't miss Butterfly's paintings! She just started taking classes a year or so ago and has become a pastels addict. Laugh at the antics of our menagerie of rescued critters.
